Rocket Sience vs. Marbel Heroes.
I'm tried as crap.
I followed suite and rearranged my room as well.
It's pretty much done.. Just have to print off some new
photos and paint a new piece or two and then it's done.
I'll put up photos of the whole you know, before & after
when it's completely done.

I'm pretty sure today I finally saw
one of my new favorite films:

Rocket Science:

for your enjoyment and mine.. clips from it:
I've gotta buy it.

well hopefully that's enough to get you interested and not enough to spoil it for you.
I don't think you'll really get all of what's happening in the film from those clips. but you get enough. I'm coming to realize that I really do enjoy witty awkward movies. I also saw the HULK (it was Tuesday at the Hollywood... soo buy one get one free [ticket]. It's becoming a tradition of mine and colin's) which wasn't as good. Ended up getting a headace during it. Apparently they're going to make a justice league film. I think that might be taking the whole super hero film(s) way too far. That's going to go one of two ways: it's either going to be awesome (like Iron Man) or it's gonna be horrible (like The Fantastic 4). I think it'll be the latter.

Since the american film industry seems so fixated on super heroes/comics at the time, I wish they'd draw away from marbel a little bit and search out some of the more quirky comics/graphic novels..
But idk maybe the reason why the whole super hero comic thing is working out so well for the american public could really be about something else. Idk maybe we all actually need a hero about now. Some one to save us. We've been at war for 5 to 7 years now ... with no way out. The economy is going to hell and we're pretty much in a recession right now.. one that'll probably last for awhile and be pretty harsh. I guess we all need hope right now. I guess for a short amount of time, that's what the super hero films do for us. It's all an illusion though. this is "RL"; real life.

Whatever though. Since I'm in a pretentious film student rant mood, I might as well keep with it I guess. But yeah. I still I think that the independent film industry is far superior to Hollywood. There's always alot more interesting and quirky films to be found there. And over all better quality of (or at least can be) the way things are filmed (or maybe just a more personal, original/interesting way things are shot) the acting, story lines, and dialogue. I find that in alot of independent films, because they're generally shot with a lower budget than a lot of hollywood films, they have to get creative, be a little more careful in the decision process, and rely on the actors' actual skills of acting to carry the story through. They can't rely on big budgets, names, special effects to make it. Nope, it's just all around quality. I mean, the people that are working on the indie films are there for money too, don't get me wrong; but they're also there for the love and art of film making... so their films become art.

Does the last person you shared a bed/couch with mean anything to you?
yes, but it's kind of hard to keep that feeling when you're far apart and
you nearly never talk to that person.

Are you in a relationship?
Yes, kind of

Can you handle the truth?
yes.

Do you kiss a lot of people?
nope. I think I can count all of the people I've ever kissed on hand.

If you could be anywhere right now, where would you be?
chicago, with kelly & racheal, dan & the boys, and the rest of the gang.
paris or london would be nice too.

Do you think your last ex deserves to die?
nope. Dan is an awesome guy. I still feel like thus far he's one of the few guys I can
see being best friend material.

Have you ever streaked across a football field?
hell to the no.

How often do you hold back from saying what you are thinking?
not that often unless it would hurt someone else (generally I'm not willing to risk that)

Who do you trust the most in your life?
Jesus, Trib, and my Parents.

Are there some songs you can't listen to because they remind you of someone?
there are songs that remind me of people and things I'd rather not remember.. but I still listen
to them from time to time.

Are you or are you not happy relationship wise now?
um.. that's a complicated situation at the moment.

How long ago did you hug someone?
probably yesterday. and it was probably either my mom or dad.

Are you more of a coffee or alcohol drinker?
definitely coffee. can't say I'm really one for alcohol.

Have you ever talked to someone when they were high?
lol yep. sometimes it can be interesting... sometimes not.

What gets you happy?
being with friends, autumn days, driving w/ the windows down and a good song/album playing, hanging out in "my spots", cooking for others, taking in my favorite smells, traveling, falling asleep & waking up with/to the person I adore, when shoots go well, when I'm able to create something worth while.

Who was the last person you yelled at?
I don't think I've really yelled.. but I got argumentative with my mother..
but the last person I really yelled at would be my father.. while walking down the hall of my dorm while I was moving out. Iian saw me. It was embarrassing. Only my family can bring out that side of me sadly. I hate it too, cuz I love 'em.

Do you know anyone who's addicted to any drugs?
yep, quite a few people. I don't really talk to them though. they've kind of forgotten all of their friends due to it and their girlfriends.

Last night, did you go to sleep smiling?
nope. just kinda rolled over and went to sleep.

Where did you sleep last night?
My bed.

Did you have a good day yesterday?
I don't really remember it well.. but yeah, I guess it was good. finished a book.

What was the highlight of today?
freaking watching Rocket Science

Do you hate anyone?
nope

Do they know who they are?
n/a

Have you ever collapsed on the bathroom floor?
only while trying to keep someone else from doing so. Or the time when I almost did
while I was stuck in the back bathroom of the Gap after I accidentally stabbed my self (severing an artery) with a box cutter.

When was the last time you bought something?
today. went halfsies on a movie ticket w/ Christina to see the HULK.

Have you ever told someone you love them?.
yep, trib, my friends and family. I think I might've told Alex once that I did.
But looking back, since I don't really know what THAT kinda love is. I don't think I did.
Just really liked him alot. (sorry kid if you're reading this. I do love you as a person though.)

Do you play an instrument?
yep, violin and guitar. Not well. but I do. I also sing.. which I do do pretty well at.

What’s the reason behind your facebook display name?
mm it was my given name. Although I did shorten it down to Brit (with one 'T') because 1) everyone's name is Brittany (in fact both last year when I lived in my dorm the 'UC' and also in 1st grade at Beltline Elementary, there were also other girls with the same name Brittany Reed there) 2) I don't have the personality or look of a Brittany 3) Britt sounds cooler and Brit (written out) looks cooler.
4) there's also another (crapy) photographer already out there named Brittany Reed. I didn't want to run into any distinction issues later on w/ my photography or films.

Is there anyone you call baby?
nope. I call racheal, cat, and kelly v. baby girl though. :]

In the next 4 months, what are you looking forward to most?
freaking going back to chicago.

hells to the now.

Is your phone within a meter radius of you?
nope, it's on my night stand in my room.

silver over-sized basketball shorts (they're my older brother's) and a John Brown University hoodie (trib got it for me when she went to go visit her college for orientation since I got her a Columbia College Chicago hoodie for x-mas)

What color is the thing you are sitting on right now?
black swivel chair.

Are you doing this just because you're bored?
pretty much.

What is bothering you right now?
my eyes hurt from exhaustion, my head hurts, and I've got doubts about
the whole mark thing. But idk what to do.. so i'm just going to wait and see
what happens. (kinda idk that every time he says "we should talk more" it's always me that
ends up being the one trying to contact him and he nearly never answers. I've placed bets most times
on weather he'd pick up or not and usually I win. because I think he's only picked up once or twice out of the probably 20 to 30 times I've tried to call or text him since I've been home. awesome. Never calls when he say he will either. awesome)

Was last New Year's enjoyable?
lol pretty low key. consisted of me, trib, and her then boyfriend, sam chillin at my place watching venture brothers and hot rod.

I'll bet you miss someone right now?
sort of.. but it's also confusing I kinda feel like i don't care right now.
kind of cold. but that's the truth.

Are you high?
nope.

What is your desktop picture?
it's a map of the North American continent

Do you shop for clothes?
yep. don't know how to sew them (yet) so. there you have it.
I don't do it often though. I bought myself a dark grey V neck from American Apparel a week or so ago.
but that's pretty much been it since I've gotten home from Chicago. I think mom and I are going shopping on Thursday. thank god.

Where do you think your best friend is right now?
probably either A) at her mom's house B) at her dad's apartment or C) in fort worth, in her car driving.

Where did you last sleep other than your house?
back in chicago, in mark's bed before the night before I left to come home to dallas.

I'm going to stop now.

That movie looks weird and quirky. I don't know if I would like it.

Then again, you did recommend Wristcutters and that is possibly the best movie ever.
